Battery Service Technician

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conducts the removal and replacement of lift batteries safely
  • Maintains and repairs battery cable insulation and connectors
  • Monitors battery charger status & exercises corrective action as needed
  • Monitors battery de-ionizer and takes corrective action
  • Disposing of hazardous materials in accordance with established OSHA procedures
  • Checks and maintains water levels in batteries
  • Uses multi-meter to check battery voltages
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area
  • Verifies all safety switches are functional at all times
  • Performs additional job related duties as directed

 

Towing Dispatcher

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Answers emergency and non-emergency calls then documents important information
  • Operates and manages a multi-line telephone console system
  • Responds to queries related to towing services
  • Communicates by radio, phone or computer to direct field crew units to the correct locations
  • Supervises the route and status of field units to prioritize their daily schedule
  • Maintains and updates call logs, call records and other important documentation
  • Performs additional job related duties as directed

 

Flatbed Operator

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Towing vehicles
  • Recovering vehicles
  • Jump starts
  • Tire changes
  • Lock outs
  • Maintains accuracy of paperwork
  • Communicates proficiently with dispatchers
  • Performs daily safety checklist on trucks
  • Communicating with dispatcher to locate & facilitate recovery of incoming orders
  • Driving to scene of an accident or auto breakdown
  • Connecting the vehicle to the tow truck
  • Transporting vehicle to the service station or junkyard
  • May include using a chain, winch, steering locks, etc.
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must keep clean/professional appearance

 

Mechanic Positions

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Repair, maintenance and building of towing equipment including welding, metal fabrication, and installation of truck bodies and related accessories
  • General repair and maintenance of towing equipment and light/medium duty truck repairs
  • Repair and install new and used light to medium duty towing equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical work on used light and medium duty tow trucks
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic issues, PTO pump issues, and 12 V lighting issues
  • Upfit medium and light duty trucks
  • Assist with new wrecker and carrier body installations on all types of chassis
  • Installation to include wiring, hydraulic hose installation, welding, plasma cutting, and some fabrication may be required

 

Tow Truck Operator

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Towing vehicles (including CHP calls)
  • Recovering vehicles
  • Jump starts
  • Tire changes
  • Lock outs
  • Maintaining accuracy of paperwork
  • Communicates proficiently with dispatchers
  • Performs daily safety checklist on truck
  • Communicating with dispatcher to locate & facilitate recovery of incoming orders
  • Driving to scene of an accident or breakdown
  • Connecting the vehicle to the tow truck
  • Transporting vehicle to the service station or junkyard
  • May include using a chain, winch, steering locks, etc.
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must keep clean/professional appearance
